Who runs this site

World Time Map (world-time-map.com) is an independent website run from India. For anything about this policy, including complaints and data requests, email contact@world-time-map.com.

What stays on your device

The site saves three settings in your browser’s local storage so they survive a reload. They never leave your device and we cannot read them:

• mode: light or dark, if you chose one.
• hour12: whether you prefer a 12-hour or 24-hour clock.
• pins: the cities you pinned to Your clocks.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes them. A shared clocks link puts the city names in the address itself; anyone you send it to sees those cities.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for or store your location. The site reads your time zone from your browser to show your local time, and that happens on your device. City search runs in your browser against a list it downloads; your searches are not sent to us.

Hosting

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. To serve pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not keep our own access logs and do not use this data to identify you.

Advertising

World Time Map is free and will be paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. When ads run:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
• Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, and can change their choice at any time.

How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Until ads are switched on, the site sets no cookies at all.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use. Because we hold no account data, most requests concern advertising; email contact@world-time-map.com and we reply within 30 days. We do not sell personal information.

Children

The site is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date at the top.
